Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, María showed a special interest in theatrical arts from an early age. Her passion for art, film, and theatre led her to the Drama Department at the University of Puerto Rico where she completed her B.A. Magna Cum Laude in 2015. As a member of the ART Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University, Class of 2017, she spent a semester training at the Moscow Art Theater in Russia. She infuses her work with a deep love for her Island and Culture. María is currently based in New York City and San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she is pursuing her career as a multifaceted actor and acting coach. She has multiple audiobook credits and her most recent roles include G in the West Coast premier of Sanctuary City by Martyna Majok at Berkeley Rep and Arena Stage in Washington D.C.
